USA Open Karate Championship and Junior International Cup - Las Vegas, April 14, 2017

Great results of Washington Karate Lakewood Dojo at the US Open 2017

Sensei Chuck Sweigart about US Open:"Although we had a small team of 6, we earned 12 medals each in extremely competitive categories.
Very proud of Christopher Penna, although still 17, fought for the first time in the 18-34 elite mens kumite. He went 5 rounds, defeated a Pan American Champion along the way, and lost in the last second in the Bronze medal match. What a debut!
Stephanie Hillyer and Emma Harsha both earned multiple medals in both kata and kumite.
Edward Dinglasan kept the faith and earned his medal in kumite.
Matthew Hillyer won multiple medals, and showed incredible sportsmanship and maturity..."
