When did you start to practise karate?
I started when I was 8 years old. 1998.

Who was your first teacher?
My first teacher is my current teacher and coach, Brody Burns.

Can you introduce your current karate club?
We are the Academy of Classical Karate in Plano, Texas. And our competition team is WIKF Texas.

Can you tell us about Pan Am Games 2015? What is your overall feeling from this action?
At the Games and still now, I am very happy that I was able to use the tactics and strategies that I have been working on for years. I know that loses are usually what drive us to our next event, but this win really inspires me to keep pushing.

How difficult was the final match for you at Pan Am Games 2015?
It was a difficult situation with a tough opponent. I was able to keep my cool because of the mental drills and tools my coach and I use to keep calm and keep everything in perspective.

Have you ever used karate in a real life?
Every day.. But never in a fight :)

What is your life motto?
"Never settle". Take on as much as your schedule and body can allow.

What is your favourite meal? Which cuisine do you prefer?
It is a close one between pancakes and cereal.

What are your leisure time activitites?
I like to watch tv shows with my fiancé.

This weekend ( September, 11-12, 2015) you were on the training camp in Tennessee. As karate instructor are you satisfied with this action? Were the main aims of this action fulfilled?
If I can inspire kids to work hard in life and enjoy the benefits of working hard then yes I am very satisfied. I am humbled to be put in a position where I can have that type of impact.

What are your plans in karate for this year 2015 and for the next year?
I will be at the Karate1 premier league in Austria to finish the year. And next year I will return to Austria, and win the WKF World Championships!!

Thank you very much for the interview. We wish you all the best in the future.
